Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
I've been learning more and more about how the way you think, what you "chew on," or "meditate on," affects every area of your life. This blog is different because it's geared towards my physical life. How the way I think, and things I believe affect my physical life. Thoughts like, "God only cares about the spiritual life, He doesn't care what I look like, so I shouldn't either." So I have been learning to "think healthy, and to think freedom." I want to learn how to be free from the things I've allowed myself to believe over the last 25 years of my life.
I'm currently reading the "4:8 Principle," which is about, yup, you guessed it, Philippians 4:8 (which is the verse quoted above). Its a book about how to think, how to train your mind to think in a manner that is true and honorable and just and pure and lovely and commendable and excellent.
With all that said, I'm also starting to eat differently and exercise more. I started the "thinking freedom and thinking healthy" part about two weeks ago. One of the things I started to do was to learn about things that go into my body. What does my body need and what is good for my body? Honestly, I never knew that when you don't drink a lot of water your liver has to help your kidneys work, taking away from what the liver COULD be doing. So I've been drinking a lot of water. That's just an example.
Hope you enjoy reading about my journey!!
