Getting back on it

It has been a LONG time since I've written in here and so much has happened.

This summer began as what I would call, a great success! I went to the Summer Beach Project, which is 8 weeks long for students. The staff, including myself, stays for four weeks and then leave for three and come back for the last one. The four weeks I was at the SBP I worked out five times a week. I was really proud of myself and how well I did, I was also so surprised that I was able to work out so regularly at a place where I am extremely busy.
TAKE AWAY: I can do this! If I want to I CAN work out and be consistent.

Then there's Brazil. After the Beach Project, I left for Brazil to visit my family. While I was there I worked out twice (in the course of two weeks). It felt like failure to me, and I didn't like it. What I kept hearing in my head was: "See, you can't do it. You can't have this lifestyle of health, you have failed like you knew you would. Why did you even try?"
TAKE AWAY: I will have seasons in my life where I won't be able to work out as consistently. Success is how I respond to times like these.

Right now I'm starting a running program so that I can run for 30 minutes. I'm excited to start out slow, even though I was able to run that long before.

So here we go! Getting back on it!
